Shower Timer is an electronic device for controlling the shower time, thus reducing peak hour queuing and saving water and heating energy.
Shower Timer uses patented microprocessor technology.

• Shower Timer terminates the shower after a pre-determined time and that is followed by a “discouraging” shower prevention or waiting period.

• Shower Timer is easily programmed by the owner for shower and shower prevention times between 0 and 12 mins.

• Shower Timer is contained in a strong stainless steel box located at the shower outlet.

• Shower Timer is easily installed as a retrofit with no alteration to existing plumbing.

• Shower Timer has a visual display which counts down the minutes and seconds remaining.

• The visual display in Shower Timer is supported by an audible beeper.

• Shower Timer is supplied with a low voltage safety approved
  power supply.

Cost of Showering

Most showers, at a comfortable temperature (40°C), will deliver water at more than 12 litres per minute. At a comfortable temperature, that heated water can cost as much as 10 cents per minute. Shower Timer can be used in conjunction with a water saving shower head to save on both time and flow rate.

• The heating energy required to provide the comfortable temperature depends on the ambient temperature and the energy source used. (Gas or Electric, Natural or LPG, Full Tariff or Off-peak, Solar, etc.)

• A 12 minute shower with a flow rate of 12 litres per minute heated by LP Gas from 15 degrees Celcius will normally cost about 90 cents in an Australian city location. Shower Timer can save half this cost.

• Most people spend much more time than necessary under the shower.

• The family average time is often more than 12 minutes. Six minutes is generally more than adequate. Shower Timer can limit each shower to six minutes duration.

• A family paying 90 cents for each of 5 (12 minute) showers daily will SAVE OVER $800 per annum in water and heating costs by installing a Shower Timer set to 6 minutes.
